Cold application of bitumen requires less energy, resulting in reduced emissions and a lower product impact on the environment. Shell Spramul has been developed for cold application of binder in a spray or for mixing with fine to coarse graded aggregates, making it highly effective for crack, slurry sealing and micro surfacing.

With its lower viscosity and ability to cover a wider area, Shell Spramul helps you meet construction timelines, all while delivering pavement performance. Also, its cold application requires less energy, resulting in reduced emissions. It can be stored long-term without migration or loss of properties.

Discussions around sustainability, conservation of natural resources are growing. The utilisation of scrap tyres in rubber-modified bitumen (RMB) can not only help contribute to the conservation of natural resources and improved waste management but also enable the creation of high-performing asphalt pavements, comparable to those containing polymer modified bitumen (PMB).

Therefore, HMVG-40, High Quality Viscosity Grade Paving Bitumen is manufactured using patented technology, keeping in mind the needs of modern highways. The use of Harder Grade Binder HMVG-40 in bituminous mixes offers following benefits over conventional Bitumen.

Shelmac PR™ is a ready to use pre-mix, which provides a long lasting solution to potholes and depressions on the roads. Shelmac PR™ is a cold applied solution which consists of aggregates of 10mm and lower sizes.These graded aggregates ensure optimal aggregate interlock after placement and hence, possess good resistance to deformation under traffic.

It eliminates the need for plant and machinery at site, utilizes minimum unskilled labor. Post repair, roads can be reopened to heavy traffic immediately.

It Offers no sticking/picking-up of material by vehicle tyres or water which leads to increased service life of the potholes with very little or no raveling, bleeding or depression.

  • This type of high-performance bitumen is the best application for heavy-duty axle loads.

    These concrete and asphalt surface joint sealants are especially resistant to expansion and contraction stresses, compression and cyclic movements in horizontal joints. They adhere well to the surface and can withstand pavement movements without losing their adhesive qualities. Fuel, oil and fire-resistant, they also resist deterioration by weathering, sunlight, ozone, water and salt.

    The sealants are available in two variants – a hot poured sealant ideal for concrete surfaces (Jointseal) and an ambient temperature pouring-grade elastomeric sealant (Polyseal).
